Between the ECO Start/Stop system and the 7G-TRONIC 7-speed automatic transmission.
When looking at the C300, you see aggressively elegant styling with a sculpted design that features a short deck and long, eye-catching hood. Inside, you will get to relax in an ergonomic seat that features 14-way power-adjustment and 4-way power lumbar. The memory system means you do not have to waste time finding which of these adjustments you prefer when getting inside.
While you are driving, the C300 will keep you entertained with the COMAND system that comes complete with available navigation and a touchpad controller that is intuitive to use. The buttons and layout are sensible and easy to use as well.
How the 2017 Mercedes-Benz C300 and the Rest of the C-Class Were Updated
To get a better feel for how the 2017 Mercedes-Benz C300 has been updated, it helps to take a look at the C-Class as a whole since all of the models within it are closely related. The C300 convertible was completely new for this model year, being the first time that the C-Class offers a convertible. The coupe version of the C300, and other C-Class models was completely redesigned following an all-new C-Class Sedan.
The new C-Class coupe has an extra 2.4 inches between the front axle and firewall with new character lines that reach the rear taillights instead of just ending right before the vehicle's rear wheel arch like they do on the sedan. It has also grown 1.6 inches in width, 3.7 inches in length, and 3.1 inches in the wheelbase. Thanks to the increased exterior dimensions for the coupe, the interior is also more spacious. The C-Class Coupe also adds Collision Prevention Assist Plus as an option, helping to keep you safe when you are on the road.
C-Class History: Creating the Current C300
The Mercedes-Benz C-Class arrived in 1982 and has always been an innovator. It began with a 201 series that included a whisper diesel engine, as well as 4-valve high-performance variations. Following this was the 202 with its 4-valve diesel engine, a first for a passenger car. It also had a spacious interior for a compact vehicle and supercharged technology. It was this 202 series that officially wore the C-Class name first. By 1994, the C-Class had the choice of 4- and 6-cylinder engines.
For the second generation in 2001, Mercedes-Benz offered the C-Class with an incredible range of features, starting with the 215-horsepower V6 C320 and 168-horsepower V6 C240, which were soon joined by the 349-horseopwer C32 AMG, C320 wagon, and C230 Kompressor supercharged hatchback coupe. The wagons and sedans got an optional 4MATIC all-wheel drive system in 2003. A new generation arrived in 2008 with four models, including the C300 Luxury and the C300 Sport, both with a 228-horsepower 3-liter V6 engine.
